Select a location where you want to put your newly assembled bird feeder.

Use a separate stake or a piece of rebar to punch a hole in the ground approximately 4 to 6 inches deep.

PLEASE NEVER EVER, EVER, FORCE THE PLATE DOWN, THIS MAY DAMAGE THE PLATE AND COULD CAUSE INJURY TO YOURSELF. AND THIS WOULD MAKE ME VERY, VERY SAD.

After you have placed your bird feeder in the ground, gently compact the soil surrounding the rod. In time the soil will naturally compact itself.

Now you are ready to place your bird seed in your Bird Feeder.
